7120 Beijing 雙菱
Beijing 雙菱 (Double Rhomb) with printed name in Chinese pinyin under the Double Rhomb logo. Below the center pivot also printed text of BEIJING 20 ZUAN meaning 20 jewels. The original dial has striped hour indexes. There was damage between 4 and 5 o'clock and on several spots. Hands are also pressed with pattern and the signature Chinese red circle dot at second hand tip.
The watch came originally installed with an 19J 7120 that wasn't running and the movement rattles inside the movement. Obviously, the original 20J ZB-1 movement has gone missing. Therefore it doesn't matter even if I replaced the non-runner movement with a frankenstein momvement made by combining 2 other defective 7120s. The case needed a polish with Cape Cod polishing cloth and the crystal needed a polish with polywatch. Then stuck a generic movement holder between the movement and the case back then it's done.
But not really, the movment required a bit of cleaning and oiling otherwise it'd sneakily stop running from time to time.
Very classical standard Chinese watch in the 1970s aside from the impactful font. Being a Shuangling instead of a Shanghai so that it's slightly more special, even thought inside it's just another 19J 7120 movement, one jewel short.
